Kade is in a heated discussion with his best friend concerning a potential basketball rival. Little did he know on this trip to scope out a cross-town rival that threatened his hoop star throne, he would find the love of his life.
“That dude Cornbread is no joke,” Bubba says.
“What does he do that’s so great?”
“Kade I’m not sure but everyone’s saying he’s the one to challenge your throne.”
“What does he look like? Is he tall, fast, a great shooter or ball-handler?”
“I don’t know.”
“Where did he come from?” He asks.
“I’m not sure maybe up north somewhere.”
“Got damn man, you sure don’t know shit about a nigga supposed to dethrone your boy.”
“You know where to find any real hooper from Forest City. Da Playground,” Bubba replies.
They plan to visit the Dunbar Playground in nearby Forest City. It’s the place where all real hoopers dwell on a late Sunday afternoon. Their chance to see firsthand the deal with Cornbread.
