Ice T’s tweet is what I have been trying to articulate to all these alarmists blaming Rap music for the murders of Rappers.
These young Rappers need to heed the words of the OG’s. You cannot be flexing with Rolex watches, diamond rings, and giant gold chains when you’re out with the general public.
Places like Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans, and Atlanta are dangerous places for any person. It doesn’t matter your age, sex, race, or occupation. If an old white lady with expensive jewelry is out there slipping, she will get got.
I’m willing to bet the majority of these murders could have been avoided if the Rapper in question had used better judgment. However, I’m not naive to think young people use or have the best judgment.
