Amber is the good girl Kade needs. Thanks to Amber he goes to church. The only time he’s ever gone before is to attend the funerals of his uncle’s murdered gang members.

They are having a picnic on the lawns at Isothermal Community College, having just left church service at New Christ Temple.
The big checkered blanket is laid out. Amber brings a basket of wings, potato wedges, sodas, and grapes.
It’s a gorgeous Sunday afternoon as the sun is shining brightly with children’s laughter filling the air.
