I don’t know why these co-eds want to meet me. I’m a confessed beer-drinking weed-smoking heartbreaking heathen who has a girlfriend that I love.
However, as a college hoop star and sex-addicted addict, I turn down nothing but my collar. My room dawg Rick informs me that his girlfriend's cousin Arletta wants to meet. She saw me on the telly and in the newspaper and thought I was cute.
I’m always leery of committing to meet without at first getting a look at the specimen but with a name like Arletta, I’m willing to take a chance.
We are to play the South Carolina Gamecocks tomorrow night, our in-state rival. The fellas were having a House Party so I could easily disappear if this Arletta isn’t my cup of tea.
She was to be brought to our apartment at 8 pm. They didn’t arrive until 9:30. The party is in full effect. Big Shottie is on the wheels of steel. The red strobe light gives our living room a club feel. I’m in the corner with my mates talking shit about God only knows.
We hear an uproar. Rick is in the house, making his grand entrance. Rick’s a hometown hero from nearby Seneca, shaking hands like a politician. I’m only interested in who’s behind him. I see her: Jesus Christ, thank you, God.
