My Unhealthy Obsession With Taylor Swift Has A Name
Who Knew
I’ve always liked Taylor Swift since the first time I heard her voice on the soundtrack for 50 Shades Of Grey in 2015. However, it wasn’t until I watched her documentary Miss Americana in 2019 that my obsession began the fester. I quickly concluded that I love Taylor Swift.
When she began dating NFL Superstar Travis Kelce, my obsession raised to a new alarming level. I’ve loved the NFL for decades before Taylor was even born.
Adding fuel to the raging inferno has been her amazing performances at The Era’s Tour. Needless to say, I’m a full-blown Swiftie.
My Facebook and Instagram timelines are filled with everything Taylor. I refer to her as Taylor like she’s a member of the family. The visceral effect her music has on me I categorized as disturbing.
You see I’m a 55-year-old straight black guy that my ex-wife once labeled as an emotionless shell of a human. She was correct. I never displayed any emotions.
The last time I cried about anything was when as a member of the Clemson Tiger basketball, my team lost a heartbreaker to the University of Maryland in 1989.
Now this strange salty liquid substance easily flows from thine eyes almost daily thanks to any one of the many Taylor Swift songs…
