No More Loose Ends
A person who encourages and openly supports the success of a person or cause: Kia has always been My Biggest Cheerleader. I confessed to her about what I did to the Plug from our hometown.
Kia knew in her heart that I would return for revenge once we got news of the murder of my cousin. We had escaped from both our sexually abused childhood, making a good life here in Bowie, MD, a suburb of the nation’s capital.
We had promised each other we would never again step foot back into that godforsaken place. However, we find ourselves on Interstate 95, headed south to our evil hometown. I had left a loose end.
“Kade, I will not see you in prison for life if that crackhead Lexie talks.”
