Kade and Bubba snatched a half-naked preacher from the local Bootlegger’s house. He is the Pastor at the largest African American Baptist church in the county as well as the dad of Kade’s black girlfriend.
Reverend Johnson and the church Jezzabel fuck every other Saturday night. Kade deems him a treacherous traitor unworthy of any worldly pleasures. He was a part of the near-death beating the hoop star sustained.
The cousins take him deep into the woods that many of the town folks have heard about but few would ever dare venture far enough for inspection.
The forbidden place is called The Wells Of Ledbetter. Legend says it’s a place where demon spirits dwell.
Kade drives while Bubba controls the unworthy passenger with a 45 to his temple. The Preacher Man is blindfolded but still asking questions.
