Gabby, I implore you to continue writing and posting on Medium. You have a gift of effectively communicating through your words.

I have found from my personal experience with my sons, the white community is less rascists when it comes to biracial children.

They attended private schools and grew up upper middle class. My oldest son graduated from college and his younger brother will graduate in August. When we visited some of my family, it's as though they didn't act black enough. I told them to be confident in yourself and don't allow anyone to define you.

I can see in your case, you are attractive, so there was going to be jealousy of you no matter your skin color. White, black, brown or yellow, teenage girls can be ruthless to one another.

Some black people can be sensitive about white people or those who appear white stealing their culture. Unfortunately you appear to be totally white.

However the beauty of your white skin is that you are part black. The beauty of my darker skin, I'm part white. We are the poster children for the need for a raceless society.

Human's are never one race. We are all bi, three, four or five. I watch the ancestry show on PBS. When they test their DNA, nearly all the different celeberities are a multitude of different races.

A little white girl like you is part black. Myself, a little black boy who is part white. That's all that needs to be conveyed.

The one thing I'm certain of is the devil comes in all colors. White, black, brown, yellow and all combinations. The devil who dwells in us all is the only reason we see color instead of a persons humanity. A person who is more like us than different.

Thank you so much for sharing. You are the light in a tunnel of darkness. Continue to shine my Sister.
