Time for a liquid lunch. I head to the mafia-controlled strip joints in downtown Baltimore. I take a moment to ride by the Inner Harbor. The view of the Chesapeake Bay is gorgeous. This lovely Spring afternoon, they filled the shops and restaurants with patrons.
I go to the first bar on the corner. I order a vodka cranberry and start a tab. Head to the restroom to do a line of coke. I had been saving it all week. Now is as good a time as any.
Exiting the facilities, I’m feeling amazing, but as I look around, the place is empty.
“Where is everyone?” I asked.
“We run a skeleton crew during the day. However, my day shift dancer should have already been here.” The bartender replies.
About that time, the wooden double doors opened. She walks in from the outdoors.
