A past love I assumed was gone forever comes crashing head first back into my life. Bree rings up my phone.
“Hi Kade. This is Breeland James. How are you?”
“Bree, oh my God, hey there stranger, how are you?”
“I’ve missed you.”
“Boo, you are never far from my thoughts. What’s up?”
“Well, she says sheepishly. I thought that since I will be in Charleston this Saturday for a wedding, I was hoping to see you.”
“My Love I would walk 100 miles in 90 degree heat barefooted on black asphalt just to see your beautiful smile.”
She chuckles.
Her laugh warms my broken heart. My queens and I have broken up. I miss my first love. Bree’s father sent her off to boarding school once they found out about our love. She stirs something deep inside me that neither Courtney nor Amber can reach.
