Kia knew in her heart that I would return to our hometown for revenge once we got news of the murder of my cousin. I confessed to the assassination of Ricco Brown, aka The Plug. We had escaped from both our sexually abused childhoods, making a good life in Bowie, MD, a suburb of the nation’s capital.

We had promised each other we would never again step back into our godforsaken hometown. However, we find ourselves on Interstate 95, headed south to our evil hometown. I had left a loose end.
