Can A Semite Be Anti-Semitic? The Kyrie Irvin Argument

To answer this question, let’s first go to the dictionary. Good old Merriam-Webster.

Semite is a member of several peoples of ancient southwestern Asia, including the Akkadians, Phoenicians, Hebrews, and Arabs. A Semite is a descendant of these people.

Anti-Semitic, hostile to, or prejudiced against Jewish people.

The short answer based on the definition of the terms is a resounding Yes.

The segment of the population who are defending him is giving Kyrie way too much respect. His claim is that since blacks were the original Hebrews and he was black, how can he be Anti-Semitic?

Just because you claim to be a Semite, you can still be an Anti-Semite. We consider Arabs Semites. They wish for the total destruction of the Jewish people and the Jewish state.

Just because you are Black doesn’t mean you cannot be Anti-Black. Look at Clarence Thomas and Kanye West. They are obviously Anti-Black. You know Kanye’s, “Black people chose to be slaves”. Pretty much any ruling Clarence Thomas favors is anti-black.

Just because you are a Woman doesn’t mean you cannot be Anti-Women. Look how many women are in favor of overturning Roe v Wade. If that isn’t an Anti-Women policy, I can’t imagine anything worse. Think of a…
